Device Map
The Device Map module lets you add location data to devices, view them on a world map, and quickly open related actions (metrics, containers, storage, alarms) directly from the map.

Here we focus only on devices.
Adding Location to a Device
To set a location for a device:
- Go to the Devices page.
- In the device row, click the ellipsis ( … ) under the Actions column.
- Select Set Location.
- In the Location Type field, choose the 3D model/icon to represent the device.
- In Device Type, choose:
- Fixed — for stationary devices
- Sensor — for mobile devices. Make sure a sensor has already been added (see the Sensors section).
- In Select Location, choose the position:
- Use the search icon (magnifier) to find a location by entering address, place, or coordinates.
- Or, zoom/drag the map and click to drop a pin.
- Use the Home icon to reset the map view.
- Switch between 2D / 3D with the icons at the top.
- Click Save Location.
Viewing Devices on the Map
- From the left menu, open the Map page.
- All your devices will appear on the map, marked with the letter D.
- Use the top-right controls:
- Search — type an address, landmark, or coordinates
- Zoom in/out — with the mouse wheel
- Home — reset to world view
- 2D/3D and style — toggle map modes

Open Device Actions from the Map
When you click a device icon on the map, a device card opens with shortcuts:
- Show Metrics → open Realtime / Historical metrics
- Show Containers → list running containers
- Show Storage Info → view disk partitions and Cordatus system folders
- Show Device Alarms → enable, disable, or check alarms for this device
- Show Jobs (if licensed) → view and manage device jobs
- Show Sensors → see connected sensors
- Show Cameras → (if licensed) → view and manage cameras

The device must be Connected in Device Hub to be visible on the map.
Removing a Device Location
To remove a device’s saved location:
- Go to the Devices page.
- In the device row, click the ellipsis ( … ).
- Choose Remove Location.
- In the confirmation dialog, confirm by clicking Yes, Delete.

FAQ
I can’t see my device on the map.
- Make sure the device has a saved location.
- Check that the device is Connected in Device Hub.
Notes
- Location data belongs to the device. If you remove the device, location will also be deleted depending on your settings.
